| Chord Study in Bb and C - Smooth Chord Transitioning
This chord study-exercise features smooth chord transitioning via a device called 'voice-leading'. Voice leading is a single note within a chord that continually moves upward or downward one note at a time, measure-by-measure until the chord completely transitions to the next chord. It is a very effective device that is soothing to listen to and not difficult to play usually. I would call this exercise moderately challenging. The average player will have little if any trouble playing what is here. The chord names look crazy, but they're simple to finger and the exercise sounds better at moderate and slower tempos.

| | The "F" Collection of Chord Studies - All in the Key of F
I arranged and assembled a collection of chord studies featuring the key of F. It's fairly unusual for banjo players to seek out the key of F, but it has a lot to offer... out of standard tuning. Variety, if nothing else. Some are original pieces that go into the jazz chord range... others feature known melodies in addition to long jazz chord tag endings. Some have Chord-Melody solos, some have Scruggs style roll-style solos. I greatly enjoyed putting this group of chord studies together and I believe you'll enjoy hearing and playing them. They will definitely break your ear out of the usual 1-4-5 chord patterns.
