This chord-packed, but fairly short chord progression features dominant, chromatic chord movement, i.e., the highest notes of each chord move one fret at a time in a melodically descending manner featuring voice-leading, whch makes the chord changes very smooth to the ear.

Good exercise for the ears and the fingers... not to mention good knowledge for the aspiring picker.

Chord exercises such as this one, serve to educate the ears and mind to what's possible with chords... and to train your ears to recognize these types of sounds found in higher forms of music.

All it can do is help make a better educated picker with a highly trained ear for progressions!
