|King Tut - Steve Martin|
"King Tut" - Steve Martin - This is an arrangement that studies all of the parts required to comprise Steve Martin's famous musical comedy sketch from the late 1970s. It is not a banjo solo per se, though it contains a short intro solo at the beginning that I improvized for the arrangement. It is also a fakebook arrangement in that it contains all lyrics of Steve's "King Tut". I also read in a Wikipedia biography on Steve that certain members of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band were in "Toot Uncommons", the group that backed Steve's recorded performance. In my mind, that adds a little credence to the song and performance... at least where we banjo players are concerned. Key of G - Added 6-5-2011
